Yayasan Sabah (YS) or Sabah Foundation has announced that it will be offering a new scholarship scheme for Sijil Pelajaran Malaysia (SPM) leavers to pursue their tertiary studies in nursing locally at Melaka International Islamic College of Technology.

30 SPM leavers will be provided this award, which is valued at around RM7,000 a year for the three-year diploma course. The award was launched as a response to the lack of nurses in Sabah (a situation mirrored in many other states and countries).

This Yayasan Sabah nursing scholarship has been flagged a State scholarship. Therefore, application requirements should include being a resident of the state of Sabah.
