Just like my post on the Singapore Cambridge A-Levels yesterday, I’m going to be reporting another piece of relatively obvious news: Sijil Pelajaran Tinggi Malaysia (STPM) results will be available on March 16th, 2006.

But unlike the Singapore (or Malaysian) A-Levels, the Malaysian Ministry of Education is trying something very new (and innovative, I might add) with the STPM. It seems that students can actually get their STPM results by SMS (Short Messaging Service).

Now, I really don’t see any reason why any student at all would want to use such a service. After all, you’ll have to collect your results slip sooner or later. But I have to admit that the service is a unique one. I doubt many countries have such a service up and running.
