SIA Youth Scholarship: All About It

We’ve talked about the ASEAN Pre-University Scholarship before. For the uninitiated, the ASEAN Pre-U Scholarship is a bondless scholarship offered by the Singapore Government for ASEAN (South-East Asian) students to study their A-Levels in Singaporean Junior Colleges.

But what we’ve yet to discuss are the other pre-university scholarships offered by the Singapore Government. One of such scholarships is the SIA Youth Scholarship for Indian students to study their A-Levels in Singapore. Basically, it’s the Indian analogue of the ASEAN Pre-U Scholarship.

However, rather than let me continue with a poor explanation of the SIA Youth Scholarship, let me direct you to an excellent free resource for almost every single thing you might want to know about the scholarship. It’s written by an ex-SIA Youth scholar who has successfully navigated past the various hurdles a prospective and current SIA scholar would have to undergo.

So, you can be sure that you’re getting the real deal. From personal details, e.g. money matters, to cold hard tips, e.g. for your scholarship tests and interview, the site has it all.

Hello Hoang Nguyen, may I know what stage of education are you at currently?

But at the moment, I will assume that you will be entering pre-university next year as this year’s pre-university in Singapore has already begun.

If so, then you should start preparing for the ASEAN Pre-University Scholarship for next year. Applications will not be open until the end of this year, so you will have a lot of time to prepare and think about things.

Perhaps you could provide me with more details about your current situation or background so I might be able to provide a more comprehensive answer.

    Thanks!
