Masters in Parapsychology
Published May 19th, 2006 in Courses, NewsIt’s about time for a break from our traditional fare, i.e. scholarships. So, let’s talk about Coventry University’s recent addition to its graduate course range: a Masters of Science in Parapsychology.
According to the director of the new course over at the UK university, the programme will allow students to study “…strange phenomena ranging from ghostly hauntings to ESP…” through “…an honest, open systematic examination of the evidence.”
Interesting stuff. Now, if the potential career path of a “parapsychologist” was just a little more lucrative, I would have considered flying over to Coventry University…

I am a writer and have been researching paranormal phenomena for some years. Some of my research on haunted houses has appeared in THE INTERNATIONAL DIRECTORY OF THE MOST HAUNTED PLACES, published in 2000 by Penguin Books. The next edition of 2007 will be publishing some more of my work.
I have also undertaken a dilpoma course in paranormal studies with Flamel College, USA. My mentor is Dennis William Hauck, who is quite renown not only for his documentaries on the paranormal and UFOs but also as the advisor for most Hollywood producers of films about the paranormal.
I have noted with great interest that you are offering a Masters degree in parapsychology. Is it available through distance learning? If it is I would be interested to know because I might just decide to take up the challenge.
I am about to undertake a masters degree in creative writing with Warnborough University and hopefully will follow up undertaking your course if you make it available through distance learning.
Please contact me and keep me informed.
Few universities if any offer such a degree and if I take up the study I would want to do it with a recognised university such as yours.
