IE Singapore Scholarship Forum 2006

International Enterprise (IE) Singapore will be hosting a scholarship forum on the 11th of March, 2006 (Sunday) from 11am to 1pm. The IE Singapore Scholarship Forum 2006 will be held at 230 Victoria Street, Bugis Junction Office Tower, 7th Floor, Seminar Room, Singapore 188024.

According to the email sent by Brightsparks, the IE Singapore Scholarship Forum will touch on "…IE Singapore’s mission and how
it helps propel Singapore brandnames into the international arena." Of course, this briefing on "missions and means" will definitely just be a prelude for the more important (at least to students) briefing on IE Singapore’s overseas scholarships.

For those who do not know, IE Singapore was once known as the Singapore Trade Development Board (TDB), and therefore, their scholars will be expected to contribute towards the development of Singapore’s external economic wing in sectors including education, healthcare, publishing, financial services, as well as media and broadcasting.

The overseas scholarships offered by IE Singapore are targeted at students intending to study in the US, UK, France, Germany, Japan, China and India - basically international markets with high economic potential. Students can read any degree under this scholarship, except medicine and dentistry. Bonds for US and UK scholarships are for 6 years, while bonds for France, Germany, Japan, China and India scholarships are only for 5 years.
