Education UK 2006 Expo in Kuala Lumpur
Published March 15th, 2006 in Events, News, UniversitiesBritish Council’s annual exhibition in Malaysia is about to start, with five prospective venues - Kota Kinabalu, Brunei, Kuching, Penang and Kuala Lumpur. The Expo will first touch down at Kota Kinabalu on the 11th of March, and will end at Kuala Lumpur on the 25th and 26th of March.
The Education UK Expo 2006 promises to help students settle the traditionally confusing and difficult tertiary education choices, with representatives from 75 United Kingdom universities providing free advice and information about studying in the UK.
In my opinion, this Expo is little more than post-offer, pre-acceptance marketing, in order to persuade students into accepting offers to UK universities. Of course, this comes in the perspective of a student who has already made most of the necessary choices, including choosing a course, and choosing UK universities to apply to. The only step remaining for him is accepting the unconditional offers available.
For A-Level students who will be applying to UK this year for a place in 2007, this Expo will undoubtedly be a useful one. Most UK universities will have booths there, and will be happy to answer any questions you might pose. Hopefully, you’ll find answers to your most pressing questions, ahead of UCAS applications a few months from now.
