Archive for January, 2006

I have heard rumors that the Singapore GCE ‘A’ Levels examination results will be out in late February – specifically the third week of February. But rumors are all they are since I have no information substantiating this at all. I still felt that this was post-worthy though.
In any case, given that Singapore [...]

Pageant Scholarships?

It’s exactly as the title says. Those who meet the rather stringent criteria necessary to reach the most prestigious of pageants are able to net themselves sufficiently lucrative scholarships.
This year’s Miss America, Ms. Jennifier Berry, won herself a US$30,000 college scholarship, while the runner-up, Ms. Georgia Monica Pang won US$20,000. Pretty good, right?

Education in an impartial perspective – with relevant and helpful [...]

Time for a change from all the Asian (particularly Malaysian and Singaporean) oriented scholarships. This post will concern United States Doctoral Research Fellowships for study in economics – actually, just one from the many that are available. So, post-undergraduate students interested in subject areas such as economics, finance, international trade or business, get your notebooks [...]

Shell – one of the largest petroleum companies in Malaysia; in fact, one of the pioneers of Malaysia’s critical petroleum industry – offers two local scholarships for Malaysian students. This means that the scholarships are only tenable for full-time first-degree studies at recognised universities, public (IPTA) or private (IPTS), in Malaysia.
Both scholarships are valued [...]
